Fred T. Wright passed away on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at Atria Senior Living in Cranford. He was 75 years old.

Born in Elizabeth, he resided in Rahway and Perth Amboy before moving to the Colonia section of Woodbridge Township 16 years ago.

Mr. Wright was employed as a chemical operator and security officer with Witco Chemical, later Crompton Chemical, in Perth Amboy prior to his retirement; and was a communicant of Pope John Paul II Parish, Saint Stephen's Catholic Church in Perth Amboy and a veteran of the United States Air Force.

He was predeceased by his parents, Marion amd John Wright; and a brother, Jack Wright.

Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Joan Pomykala Wright; daughters, Theresa Soden and her husband, Richard, of South Plainfield, Sandra Kieras and her husband, Timothy, of Carteret and Roxanne Beebe and her husband, Fred, of Pittsburgh, PA; brother, James Wright of Florida; and grandchildren, Amanda and Emily Soden, Lara and Evan Kieras and Ryan, Olivia, Aidan and Isabella Beebe.

Funeral services will take place on Friday, June 29, 2018 at 9:15 a.m. from Costello-Koyen Funeral Home, 399 Avenel Street, Avenel, followed by a funeral liturgy at 10:00 a.m. at Pope John Paul II Parish, Saint Stephen's Catholic Church, Perth Amboy. Entombment will follow in Saint Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
