Fred Iversen passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. He was 91 years old.

Born in Perth Amboy, He resided in Woodbridge for most of his life.

Mr. Iversen was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Woodbridge.

Mr. Iversen served in the United States Navy during the Korean War receiving a National Defense Medal.

He was employed with Bell Systems for 43 years retiring as a manager for Bell Atlantic in 2000.

Fred was predeceased by his wife Patricia Donovan Iversen who passed away in 2021; a son, Chris Iversen; his parents Oscar and Pauline Mergel Iversen; and a brother Oscar Iversen.

Surviving are his loving son, Kenneth Iversen and his wife, Jamie, of Woodbridge; grandson, William; and nephew, David Allen, and his family of Brick.

Funeral services were private under the direction of Costello-Greiner Funeral Home (costello-greiner.com), Woodbridge.
