Frank J. Rigler passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at his home in Woodbridge. He was 76 years old. Born in Perth Amboy, he resided in Carteret before moving to Woodbridge in 1976. A graduate of Carteret High School and Lincoln Technical Institute, he was employed as a machinist with Cott's Bottling Company in Elizabeth and the Anheuser-Busch Brewery in Newark before retiring in 2004. Frank was a communicant of Saint James Catholic Church in Woodbridge and belonged to Teamsters Local 102 in Springfield. He loved attending his grandchildren's events; and enjoyed spending time outdoors in his garden Frank was predeceased by his parents, Mary and Frank Rigler, Sr.; and a brother, Edward. Surviving are his beloved wife of 52 years, Joyce Sweryd Rigler; two loving daughters and son in law, Kris Visco of Kendall Park and Jackie and Bill Nyers, of Port Reading; his adored grandchildren, Anthony, Brittany and Nick Nyers and Stephanie and Samantha Visco; a brother and sister in law, Albert and Mary Rigler, of Carteret; a sister in law and brother in law, Patricia and Francis Barbato, of Middletown, PA; and many nieces and nephews. The funeral will take place on Saturday, April 18, 2015 9:15 a.m. from Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street at Barron Avenue, Woodbridge. A Funeral Liturgy will follow at 10:00 a.m. at Saint James Catholic Church, Woodbridge. Interment will be in Saint Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia. Visitation will be on Friday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
