Frank J. Kovacs, Sr. passed away on Friday, December 9, 2016 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. He was 81 years old.

He was born in Carteret and has resided in the Sewaren section of Woodbridge Township for 56 years.

Mr. Kovacs was employed with US Metals in Carteret for 32 years before retiring in 1990.

He was predeceased by his wife, Jean Anderson Kovacs, in 2011.

Surviving are his children, Melody Magera and her husband, Michael, of Sewaren, Frank Kovacs, Jr. and his wife, Darlene, of Brick, Gene Kovacs and his wife, Fran, of Roaring Rivers, NC and Brian Kovacs and his wife, Melanie, of Woodbridge; six grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Monday, December 12, 2016 from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Costello-Greiner Funeral Home (costello-greiner.com), 44 Green Street, Woodbridge.
