Frank L. Kara, Sr. of Woodbridge passed away on Sunday, August 24, 2025 at JFK Medical Center in Edison.  He was 88 years old.

Born in Jersey City, NJ; He was a lifelong resident of Woodbridge.

Mr. Kara was a salesman for Thomas English Muffins for most of his life before retiring.

He was a huge Fan of the New York Yankees and The New York Giants.

He was predeceased by his first wife Frances Bartus Kara who passed away in 2005; a son-in-law Barry Ruck who passed away in 2024.

He is survived by his wife Maureen Cestone Kara; his children Linda Ruck of Rahway; Doreen Ploski and her husband Charles of Las Vegas, Nevada, Irene Karmazsin of Edison,  and Frank L. Kara, Jr. of Las Vegas. His step-children Tanya Mastroserio and her partner Anthony Fenton of Atlantic Highlands; and Anthony Salciccia and his wife Victoria of New Paltz, NY; his grandchildren Stephen Karmazsin and his wife Shannon. Timothy Karmazsin and his wife Jillian, Jason Ploski, Alexander Ploski, Joshua Ruck, Joseph Mastroserio and his wife Jess, Gia Rose Mastroserio, Samantha Salciccia, Daniela Salciccia, and Jessica Salciccia; three great-grandchildren Brynly Karmazsin, Shea Karmazsin and Aiden Salciccia.

A Funeral service will take place on Friday, August 29, 2025 10:30 am at Costello-Greiner Funeral Home 44 Green Street, Woodbridge.  Interment will be in Cloverleaf Memorial Park, Woodbridge.

Visiting hours will begin Fridat at 9:00 am.
