Frances A. Reed of Avenel passed away on Sunday, December 8, 2024 at Arista Care at Whiting.  She was 93 years old.

Born in Englewood, NJ; She resided in Avenel for many years.

She was a graduate of the Wilfred Academy in New York.

She was employed at Rahway Hospital and St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Elizabeth.

Ms. Reed was a member of The Avenel Veterans of Foreign Wars Post#7164 where she was a past President of the Women's Auxillary.

She was predeceased by her first husband George Buonanno, Sr. and her husband Charles Reed as well as her longtime companion Karl Morley; her daughter Angela Niven; her parents Dominic and Angelina Apiaccio Marciano; two brothers Vincent Gernegliaro and Bart Gernegliaro.

She is survived by her son George Buonanno and his wife Denise; a daughter Michele Dery and her husband Tom; a sister Eleanor Marciano; and Her grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren.

Funeral services will take place on Friday, December 13, 2024 11:30 am at Costello-Koyen Funeral Home, 399 Avenel Street, Avenel. Entombment will follow at Woodbridge Memorial Gardens.

Visiting hours will be Thursday, December 12, 2024 from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm
