Obituary

Frances DeLuca passed away on Friday, July 7, 2023 at her home in the Iselin section of Woodbridge Township surrounded by her loving family. She was 96 years old.

Born in Brooklyn, NY on May 6, 1927, to the late Rosaria (Sara) and Frank Maggio, she was raised by the late Nancy and Frank Fiorenzo and resided in Queens prior to moving to Iselin 32 years ago.

Mrs. DeLuca was a communicant of Saint Cecelia's Catholic Church in Iselin; was active with the Evergreen Seniors Center in Colonia; and enjoyed bowling in her younger days. In addition to lovingly raising five children, Frances owned a business with her sister Jean, was an active member of several organizations in Rosedale Queens and as recently as 3 years ago was recognized for her volunteer work knitting blankets for those in need.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Santo "Sam' DeLuca, in 2008; sister, Jean DiGorgio; and brothers, Steve, Louis, Joseph and Salvatore Maggio.

Surviving are her daughter, Carolann Donohue and her husband, Brian, of Levittown, NY; sons, John DeLuca and his wife, Geraldine, of Scotch Plains, Frank DeLuca and his wife, Stephanie, of Newburgh, NY, William DeLuca and his wife, Sheryl, of Freehold and Joseph DeLuca and his wife, Anne, of Woodbridge; sister, Yolanda Rollando and her husband, John, of Stuart, FL; grandchildren, Kathleen DeLuca, Christine Caso and her husband, Chris, John DeLuca and his wife, Kailey, Krista Richardson and her husband, James, Renée DeLuca and her fiancé, Keith, Julie Porter and her husband, Joseph, Michael DeLuca and his wife, Olivia, Scott Deluca and his wife, Dawn, David DeLuca and his wife, Amy, James DeLuca and his wife, Lisa, Joseph DeLuca and his wife, Michelle, Jenny DeLuca and her fiancé, James, Erin Glindmyer and her husband, Zach, and Brianne Malloy; and great grandchildren, Anthony, Anna, Timothy, Henry, Titus, Estelle, Addilyn, Sloane, Morgan, Sam, Shay, Emily, Vincent, Isaac, Ella, Joseph, Allison and Valerie.

Funeral services will take place on Thursday, July 13, 2023 at 9:30 a.m. from Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street, Woodbridge. A Mass of Resurrection will follow at 10:15 a.m. at Saint Cecelia's Catholic Church, Iselin. Interment will be in Graceland Memorial Park, Kenilworth. Visitation for family and friends will be on Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital (stjude.org) in Mrs. DeLuca's memory would be greatly appreciated by her family.
