Florence Victoria Oleyar passed away on Friday, December 10, 2021 at her home in the Colonia section of Woodbridge Township. She was 97 years old.

She walked humbly and respectfully with her God and accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior. The Holy Spirit was her constant companion and teacher.

Florence was born in Garwood on June 23, 1924 to the late Victoria and John Motyka; and resided in Whiting before moving to Colonia 2 years ago.

Mrs. Oleyar was employed by Jersey Central Railroad for several years before becoming a homemaker.

She married Stephen Oleyar, her husband of 60 years, on October 6, 1946. He passed away in 2006.

Florence enjoyed bowling and polka dancing with her husband, Steve, for many years.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her siblings, Josephine, Stanley, Steffie and Eddie.

Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Dorothy and Wendell Ubelhoer; grandson and his wife, Stephen and Stacey Ubelhoer; and beautiful great-granddaughters, Cadence and Callie.

Funeral arrangements are private under the direction of Costello-Koyen Funeral Home, Avenel.
