Florence Szoke McDougall, 79 years old, passed away peacefully at Spring Creek Healthcare Center in Perth Amboy on March 14, 2024 after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease.

Florence worked with special needs children for the Woodbridge School System as a Para Professional for 25 years.

Mrs. McDougall was a member of the Hickory Seniors in Fords and Good Shepard Seniors in Hopelawn. She was also a member of Modern Wife's and Mothers; and was a great cook and bargain hunter and loved to dance.

She is predeceased by her father, James Szoke; mother, Lillian Washolovich Szoke; and brother, James Szoke.

Surviving are her husband of 56 years, Donald McDougall; sons Darren McDougall and his wife, Christy, and Dennis McDougall and his wife, Dorothy; grandchildren, Dylan, Luke, Max and Ashley; brothers, Dennis and Richard Szoke; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will take place on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at 9:45 a.m. from Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street, Woodbridge. A Mass of Resurrection will follow at 10:30 a.m. at Saint James Catholic Church, Woodbridge. Interment will be in Saint Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia. Visitation for family and friends will be on Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
