Florence Korch, age 94, of Jasper, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at Grandview Healthcare Center in Jasper.

Florence was born March 3, 1929, in Perth Amboy, NJ, to the late Adam and Mary Chlebowski. She was a graduate of Perth Amboy High School, class of 1947.

Florence moved to Jasper in 2011, at the age of 82, after residing in Colonia, NJ for 50 years. She attended Mass at Our Lady of the Mountains in Jasper, and was a parishioner of St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Colonia.

Florence enjoyed cooking and baking, and especially loved sharing her baked goods with friends and family; often sending goodies by mail to those out of state. She also loved to knit, creating colorful hats, blankets, and scarves. She enjoyed polka music and spent many evenings dancing at the Polish clubs in New Jersey. She was a "social butterfly" and made friends wherever she went.

Mrs. Korch is survived by her loving daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Keith Hill of Cedar Bluff, Alabama; two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her dear husband, Theodore Korch; and her sister, Dorothy Bogdanowitz. The family will hold a private service at a later date.
