Evangelos Sistasis passed away on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at his home in Woodbridge. He was 84 years old.

Born in Mavrohori, Kastoria, Greece, he has resided in Woodbridge for 31 years.

Mr. Sistasis has owned and operated Woodbridge Fur Shop since 1986; and belonged to Saint Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Perth Amboy.

Surviving are his beloved wife of 61 years, Vasiliki Bourlis Sistasis; loving sons, Jim Sistasis and his wife Rowena and Nick Sistasis and his wife Theodora; sisters, Eleni and Matoula; brothers, Isidoros and Athanasios; and four cherished grandchildren.

Visitation for family and friends will be on Friday, June 29, 2018, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Costello-Greiner Funeral, 44 Green Street at Barron Avenue in Woodbridge. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Saturday, June 30, 2018, 9:30 a.m. at Saint Demeterios Greek Orthodox Church, Perth Amboy. Interment will follow in Hazel Wood Cemetery, Colonia.
