Eugene "Gene" T. Antoniello passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at his home in Woodbridge. He was 64 years old. Born in Perth Amboy, he was a lifelong resident of Woodbridge. Mr. Antoniello was employed as an operating engineer through I.U.O.E. Local #825 in Springfield for the past 28 years. He was a communicant of Saint James Catholic Church in Woodbridge. Mr. Antoniello was a participant in drag racing for many years at Raceway Park in Englishtown; and enjoyed the company of his Labrador retriever "Yoo-Hoo". He was predeceased by his parents Pasquale Antoniello in 1974 and Concetta Signorelli Antoniello in 2011; two brothers, Salvatore in 1976 and Frank in 2003. Surviving are his wife of 11 years, Diane Worotylko Antoniello; two daughters, Pamela Thiel and her husband, Richard, of Woodbridge and Beverly Bongiorno of Sewaren; a sister, Debbie Bellotto, of Sewaren; a brother, Patrick, of Millstone; and two grandchildren, Colby and Alyson Thiel; and many nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Funeral services will be on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. from the Costello-Greiner Funeral Home (www.costello-greiner.com), 44 Green Street, Woodbridge. A Funeral Liturgy will follow at 10:00 a.m. at Saint James Catholic Church, Woodbridge. Interment will be in Saint James Cemetery, Woodbridge. Visitation will be on Friday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
