Ethel E. Simeone passed peacefully away on Sunday, November 24, 2013 at Haven Hospice at JFK Medical Center in Edison. She was 87 years old. Born in Carteret, she resided in Clark, NJ, Catonsville, MD and West Berlin, NJ before returning to Woodbridge 16 years ago. Mrs. Simeone was employed as an administrative secretary with the Chesapeake Conference of Seventh-day Adventists in Atholton, MD for 23 years prior to her retirement. She was a member of the Lake Nelson Seventh-day Adventist Church in Piscataway. Mrs. Simeone was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Rocco C. Simeone, in 1997; and by a brother, Harold Brockmann, in 1987. Surviving are a son, Peter T. Simeone, and his wife, Deanna, of Azusa, CA; a sister, Clare Masyada, of Freehold; two grandchildren, Joel Alexander and Amanda Kathleen Simeone; a sister-in-law, Lucille Barsi; and cousins, Winifred Schurek and Russell Cender. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Costello-Greiner Funeral Home (www.costello-greiner.com), 44 Green Street at Barron Avenue, Woodbridge. Interment will follow in Rahway Cemetery, Rahway. Visitation will be on Monday from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a,m. at the funeral home.
