Obituary

Emma Sipos Racz passed away on Monday, May 14, 2018 at her home in Woodbridge. She was 94 years old.

Born in Staten Island, NY, she resided in Woodbridge for most of her life.

Mrs. Racz was a lifelong member of Calvin Hungarian Reformed Church of Woodbridge, and a teller with Woodbridge National Bank from 1943 until 1965.

She enjoyed baking and was well known among her family and friends for her talent and the joy she found in sharing her cookies, cakes, and pies. Emma was the New Jersey finalist in the 1961 National Pillsbury Bake-Off Contest.

She was predeceased by her husband, Stephen Racz; sisters, Suzanna (Rose) Hegedus and Margaret Sipos; and brothers, Joseph Sipos, Stephen Sipos, and John Sipos.

She is survived by her son, Stephen Joseph Racz, daughter-in-law, Melissa Racz, and grandson, Andrew Stephen Racz, all of Somerset; sister, Helen Poulsen, of Avenel; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will take place on Saturday, May 19, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. at the Calvin Hungarian Reformed Church, School Street, Woodbridge. Entombment will follow in Cloverleaf Memorial Park, Woodbridge. Visiting hours will be on Friday from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Costello-Greiner Funeral Home ( www.costello-greiner.com ), 44 Green Street at Barron Avenue, Woodbridge.

Memorial contributions may be made to Calvin Hungarian Reformed Church, 94 North James Street, Woodbridge, NJ.
