Emma Baumgartner passed away on Tuesday, August 12, 2025 at her home in the Melrose section of Sayreville. She was 101 years old.

Born on August 10, 1924 in Perth Amboy to the late Elizabeth and Joseph Glazer, she has resided in Sayreville for 70 years.

Mrs. Baumgartner was employed as a tobacco shaker with General Cigar Corporation in Perth Amboy.

Emma enjoyed spending time with family, ballroom dancing, cooking, baking and watching Wheel of Fortune.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased he beloved husband, Joseph J. Baumgartner, in 2010; and eleven sisters and brothers.

Surviving are her loving children, Christine Baumgartner of Woodbridge and Marty Baumgartner and his wife, Carole, of Jackson; grandchildren, Michael Thomas and his wife, Sylvia, Dawn Marie and her husband, Erik, Eric and his wife, Anita and Tara and her husband, Lou; and great grandchildren, Caroline Jo, Sadie, John Michael, Cole Ryan and Adam.

Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. at Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street, Woodbridge. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Hungary Cemetery, Fords. Visitation for family and friends will be on Monday from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
