Ellen Marie Bradley passed away on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. She was 65 years old.

Born in Newark on October 9, 1957, she has resided in Carteret since 1987.

Mrs. Bradley was a graduate of John F. Kennedy High School, Class of 1976. She enjoyed trips to Atlantic City, cruises to the islands and, especially, being a mema.

She is predeceased by her mother and stepfather, Margaret and Joseph Rotili; and father, John Sheedy.

Surviving are her husband of 45 years, Steven Bradley, Sr.; children, Shannon Cox and her husband, Chris, of Spotswood and Steven Bradley, Jr. and his wife, Jennifer, of Avenel; sister, Tracy DeNorio, and her husband, Albert, of Egg Harbor Township; brother, John Sheedy and his wife, Debbie, of Colonia; and beloved Mema to Charlotte Cox.

Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at Costello-Koyen Funeral Home, 399 Avenel Street, Avenel. Entombment will follow in Saint Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia. Visitation f or family and friends will be on Monday from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
