Elizabeth "Betty" Wright passed away on Thursday February 29, 2024 at her home in Woodbridge, NJ. She was 93 years old.

Born on December 22, 1930 to the late Cataldo and Josephine Lupo she was a lifelong resident of Woodbridge Township.

Betty worked as a data entry clerk at the Social Security Administration office in Perth Amboy for 20 years prior to her retirement in 1996. After which she took on her primary role as a wonderful mother and grandmother.

She was a communicant of Saint James Roman Catholic Church where she was member of the Catholic Daughters of America, the Altar-Rosary Society   a collection counter, volunteer at the food pantry and for exposition of the Sacred Sacrament.

In addition to her parents Betty was predeceased by her husband, Wayne Franklin Wright Sr., in 2004; siblings, Cataldo "James" Lupo and Sue Spina; and grandson, Michael McSherry.

Surviving Betty are her children Wayne F. Wright Jr. of Woodbridge and Audrey McSherry of Colonia; sisters, Virginia McFarlane of Allentown and Lucy McElhenny of Lakewood; grandchildren, Sean McSherry, Patrick McSherry, Brian McSherry and Wayne F. Wright III; and great-grandson, Noah McSherry.

Funeral services will take place on Tuesday March 5, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. from Costello-Greiner Funeral Home 44 Green Street Woodbridge, NJ 07095. A Mass of Resurrection will follow at 10:30 a.m. Saint James Catholic Church, Woodbridge. Interment will be in Brigadier General William C. Doyle NJ Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown. Visitation for family and friends will take place on Monday March 4, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
