Elizabeth Trupo De Samito died on Friday, July 5, 2013 at her daughter's home in South Plainfield. She was 92 years old. Born in Kenilworth, she has lived in the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township for the past 54 years. Mrs. De Samito was employed as assistant manager with Spencer's Gifts in the Menlo Park Mall for 10 years before retiring in 1985. She was a communicant of Saint Andrew's Catholic Church in Avenel. Mrs. De Samito was predeceased by her husband, Modesto De Samito, in 1992; and by a brother, Lawrence Trupo. Surviving are a daughter, Eileen Popovich, and her husband, John, of South Plainfield; a sister, Mary Trupo Ramos, of Saugerties, NY; three grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. Funeral services will take place on Monday, July 8, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the Costello-Koyen Funeral Home (costello-koyen.com), 399 Avenel Street, Avenel. Interment will follow in Clover Leaf Memorial Park, Woodbridge. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
