Elizabeth V. Baumle passed away on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Rahway. She was 85 years old. Born in Pattenburg, she has resided in the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township for 70 years. Mrs. Baumle was an active communicant of Saint Andrew Catholic Church in Avenel where she belonged to the Altar-Rosary Society and loved baking for bingo. She was also a former member of the Woodbridge Garden Club. She was predeceased by her husband, Karl J. Baumle, Sr., in 2007; a son, Richard T. Baumle, in 2012; her parents, Philip and Margaret Gallagher Mai; three sisters, Pauline Mai, Florence Schink and Susan McQueeney; and three brothers, Philip Mai, Jr., Gustave Mai and William Mai. She is survived by two sons, Karl J. Baumle, Jr. and his wife, Marie, and Joseph J. Baumle, all of Avenel; five sisters, Margaret Kato, Catherine Schweitzer, Grace Rimkus, Mary Johanesen and Victoria Stavick; two brothers, Frank Mai and John Mai; and five grandchildren, Laurie Baumle, Karl Baumle III, Anna Marie Baumle, Crystal Baumle and Barbara Baumle. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. from the Costello-Koyen Funeral Home, 399 Avenel Street, Avenel. A Mass of Resurrection will follow at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Andrew Catholic Church, Avenel. Interment will be in Saint Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia. Visitation will be on Monday from 2:00 until 4:00 and 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
