Elisha Aaron Minott was born on April 2, 1955 in Port Antonio, district of Bound Brook in the Parish of Portland Jamaica to the late Almyra Scott & Joseph Minott. Elisha was the youngest of six children Gwenie (deceased) , Harvey(deceased) , Joyce, Millicent, and Neville. Elisha went by several names "Suga", "Steamer", and " Jetti Minott" were the most common.

Elisha went to Port Antonio high school where he was the top of his class. He was successful in his spelling bee contest. After high school he went on to work at a Supermarket called Jong Wong and later joined the Police Force where he served as a Jamaica constabulary for 17 ½ years. His work ethic was to serve & protect the community in which he enjoyed helping people reduce crimes & serving their needs.  Working as police officer in St. Mary he met Palmore Simms in 1976 then later married in 1978. He had three children with her, Jason, Marvin, and Alesha. He also had three other children Nadine, Garvin, and Sasha. He was a father to many.  In 1989 Elisha, his wife, Nadine, Jason, and Marvin moved to the USA to accompany sister-in-law Mavis Stewart for a better life. His first job in the USA was as a Security officer at Gateway in Newark NJ. He was a very hardworking man. After working as a Security Officer, he moved on to Early bird Express. He was an advocate of being in a progressive work environment. He did not stay in a work environment that wasn't proactive, he would quickly find a replacement. After being at Urban Express he moved onto becoming an Uber driver & Business Owner. He worked six days a week and took off Sundays. Over the past years he worked every day aspiring to set up a business in Jamaica for the community & pass it down to his children.He retired in 2022 to move back to Jamaica and get his business started.

Elisha was a man of great character.  He loved to joke around, laugh, and feel happiness. He loved to joke around but he was also very serious about business matters. Elisha believed in God. He was prayerful man that would recite his prayers each time he woke up, ate, and before bed. He was very loving and gave with all his heart. He believed in giving away something that he was no longer in need of, if another individual was able to use it he would give it away. He was known as a hard-working individual that would always help anyone in the best way that he could. He loved spending time with family and friends. He believed in peace & justice. Elisha persevered through many struggles in life and kept going.  Elisha has a lot of good characteristics and qualities that many were able to experience by just knowing him. He was able to share his love and talents with everyone. He holds a special place in the hearts of many. He will always be remembered as a noble and just man. Many loved ones will come and go but, it is the moments we get to cherish with them that matter the most. Elisha touched each & every one of us & has left us with memories we will cherish forever. Elisha was a loving husband, father, uncle, brother, grandfather, and friend. He will be sorely missed. He departed on Sunday November 26, 2023.

He was preceded in death by his mother Almyra Scott ; his father Joseph Minott, Gwenie (sister), and Harvey (brother).

He leaves to cherish his memory of children and family. Nadine; daughter, Jason ;son, Sasha ; daughter, Marvin ; son, Garvin ; son, Alesha ; daughter; Grandchildren; Nikea, Jadina, Jayla, Ashlee, Azar, Amen, Eyuel, Maliyah, bethel sisters; Gwenie (deceased) , Joyce , Millicent , brothers; Harvey (deceased), Neville and many nieces and nephews.
