Elena Rotondi passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2023 at her home in Edison. She was 99 years old.

Born in Mola di Bari, Italy on February 1, 1924 to the late Maria and Giovanni Catalano, she resided in Brooklyn for many years before moving to Edison last year.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by sisters, Lucia Buttaro and Maria Recchia; and brothers, Francesco Catalano and Giovanni Catalano.

Surviving are her son, Natale Rotondi and his wife, Carolina, of Edison; granddaughters, Helen Rotondi-Garces, Isabel Robbins and her husband, Craig, and Cindy Cobos; and great grandchildren, Michael Garces, Sabrina and Natasha Robbins and Lucas, Aaron and Viviana Cobos.

The funeral procession will be forming on Friday, November 3, 2023 at 9:30 a.m. at Costello-Koyen Funeral Home, 399 Avenel Street, Avenel. Entombment will follow at Green-Wood Cemetery, Brooklyn, NY. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects on Thursday, November 2, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Friday, November 3, 2023 beginning at 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
