Eleanor P. Rodgers, lovingly known as "Nana" to her grandchildren and great grandchildren, passed away on Monday, April 25, 2022 at her home in the Iselin section of Woodbridge Township. She was 96 years old.

Born on December 15, 1925 in New York City to the late Agnes and Harry Richards, she has resided in Iselin since 1950.

Mrs. Rodgers retired in 1974 from RCA Corporation in Avenel where she served as shop steward; and previously worked as a dietician with Perth Amboy General Hospital and also worked on "Operation Dumbo" with Perth Amboy Cable Works during World War II.

She was an avid crocheter; and loved reading, word games and animals, especially spending time with her yorkshire terrier, Jenna.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Rodgers was predeceased by her husband, George E. Rodgers, in 2003; and son in law, Robert L. Malkin, in 1983.

Surviving are her daughters, Georgine Malkin of Avenel and Debra Rodgers of Iselin; grandchildren, Patricia Asmonda and her husband, Joseph, Kimberly Senatore and her husband, Patrick, and Becky Smith; and great grandchildren, Lara, Caylie, Robert, Alec and Sam.

A graveside service will take place on Friday, May 6, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Clover Leaf Memorial Park, Woodbridge.
