Eleanor Giordano of Holiday City South at Berkeley in Toms River passed away on Friday, November 8, 2013 at Community Medical Center in Toms River. She was 77 years old. Born in the Sewaren section of Woodbridge Township; She resided there for 66 years before moving to Toms River 12 years ago. She was employed for Supermarkets General Corporation in their Data Control Department retiring December 31, 2001. She was a Communicant of St. Anthony's R.C. Church in Port Reading; and a member of the Woman's Club and Social Club at Holiday City South at Berkeley. She was predeceased by her parents Elizabeth and John Matyi; a brother Richard Matyi; a brother-in-law William Smith; mother and father-in-law Catherine and Matteo Giordano; three brother-in-laws Ralph, Joseph and Anthony Giordano; three sisters-in-laws Ann Marie Matyi, Sarah Giordano, Florence Suhay and her husband Joseph. She is survived by her husband of 58 years Matteo Giordano; two sons Matteo Giordano, III and his wife Lynn, and Gary Giordano; her grandchildren Jennifer Cecere and her husband Clemente, Ashley McCutcheon and her husband Tim, and Christopher Arold and his wife Jackie; a Great-Grandson Caden James Cecere; two sisters Lillian Smith, and Janet Huff and her husband Greg; two brothers Steve Matyi and John Matyi and his wife Carol; four sisters-in-laws Elsie Matyi, Philomena Gluszyk, and Carmella and Annette Giordano; two brother-in-laws Michael Giordano and his wife Donna, and Jack Giordano and his wife Gail.
