Eileen Vukusich passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2015 at JFK Medical Center in Edison surrounded by her loved ones. She was 65 years old.

Born in Jersey City, she resided in Iselin for many years before moving to South River.

She was a 1968 graduate of Henry Snyder High School in Jersey City.

Eileen was a homemaker and caregiver. She loved playing games, especially scrabble and playing poker with her aunts and cousins, but most of all she loved being with her friends and family.

Mrs. Vukusich was predeceased by her husband, John; and her father Frank Lavender.

Surviving are two sons, Jonathan and his wife Lynann, and Zachary Vukusich, both of South River; her mother, Josephine Lavender, of Avenel; a sister, Patricia Chung and her husband Steven, of Honolulu, HI; and two grandsons, Alex and Tyler; and a niece Courtney.

A celebration of life will be on Sunday, January 10, 2015 from 2:00 until 5:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 4:15 p.m. at the Costello-Koyen Funeral Home ( www.costello-koyen.com ), 399 Avenel Street, Avenel.
