Eileen Bernardo (nee: Cunning) of Woodbridge passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2020 at St. Josephs Nursing Home in Woodbridge. She was 91 years old.

Born in Jersey City she resided in Jersey City and Toms River before moving to Woodbridge 9 years ago.

Mrs. Bernardo was employed as a Telephone Operator with N.J. Bell in Jersey City and Freehold before retiring in 1990. She was an avid NY Yankees fan and loved her Irish heritage!

She was predeceased by her husband Anthony Bernardo, who passed away in 1994; a daughter Angela Farrell; and her parents Daniel and Hannah Grant Cunning.

Surviving are her children Anthony Bernardo, Jr. and his wife Nancy of Wood-Ridge, Nicholas Bernardo and his wife Marlene of Colonia, James Bernardo and his wife Connie of Brick, Eileen McGinn and her husband Matthew McGinn of Roselle Park, Allan Bernardo and his wife Maryanne of Wood-Ridge, John Bernardo and his wife Doreen of Damascus, PA and her son-in-law, Louis Farrell; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral will take place Wednesday, March 18, 2020 8:30 a.m. from Costello-Greiner Funeral Home ( www.Costello-Greiner.com ) 44 Green Street at Barron Avenue, Woodbridge. A 9:00 a.m. Funeral Liturgy will take place at St. James R.C. Church, Woodbridge. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.

Visiting hours will be Tuesday 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
