Edward P. McKenna passed away on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at Trustbridge Hospice in West Palm Beach, Florida. He was 88 years old.

Born in East Newark, he resided in the Port Reading section of Woodbridge Township and Matawan before moving to Greenacres, FL 25 years ago.

He was employed with Public Service Electric & Gas Company in Newark for 40 years before retiring in 1995.

Mr. McKenna was a United States Marine Corp veteran of the Korean War; a communicant of and former member of the parish council at Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Port Reading; a third degree member and Past Grand Knight of Don Bosco Council #5809, Knights of Columbus in Port Reading; and was a former member and past president of Pine Ridge South I Homeowners Assoication in Greenacres, FL.

He was predceased by his parents, James and Jenny Coe McKenna; two sisters Madelyn Hardaker and Edith McKenna; two brothers James McKenna and John McKenna.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Joyce Miller McKenna; daughters, Eileen McKenna of Matawan, Patricia Mazurkiewicz and her husband Robert of Norwalk, CT and Maureen McGuigan of Edison; son, Edward McKenna, Jr., of Greenacres, FL; grandchildren, Melissa Triola, Matthew McGuigan and Blaise Mazurkiewicz; and great granddaughter, Lilyana Triola.

Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at 9:15 a.m. from Costello-Greiner Funeral Home ( www.costello-greiner.com ), 44 Green Street at Barron Avenue, Woodbridge. A Funeral Liturgy will follow at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Port Reading. Interment will be in St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia. Visitation for family and friends will be on Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00   p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers contributions to The American Cancer Society in Mr. McKenna's memory would be greatly appreciated by his family.
