Edward J. Lutz of the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township passed away on Monday, July 28, 2014. He was 78 years old. Born in Elizabeth, NJ; He resided in Avenel since 1968. Mr. Lutz was employed as a Supervisor with Food Haulers in Elizabeth for 39 years retiring in 1998. He was predeceased by his parents Clifford and Pauline Knight Lutz. He is survived by his wife of 54 years Carol Raychel Lutz; two daughters Carole Weidenfeld and her husband Dan of Bridgewater, and Barbara Ann Lutz of Avenel; two sisters Shirley and Pauline Lutz; two brothers James and Richard Lutz; two grandchildren Brandon Clifford Weidenfeld and Spencer Weidenfeld. Funeral will take place Saturday 9:00 a.m. from the Costello-Koyen Funeral Home (www.Costello-koyen.com) 399 Avenel Street, Avenel. A 9:30 a.m. Funeral Liturgy will take place at St. Andrew's R.C. Church, Avenel. Entombment will be in St. Gertrude's Cemetery Colonia. Visiting hours will be Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.
