Edward Paul Hynes passed away on Sunday, May 4, 2025 at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy. He was 62 years old.

Born in Newark on October 5, 1962 he was a lifelong resident of Woodbridge.

Mr. Hynes attended Woodbridge High School and was employed as boilermaker with Volco Brass and Copper Company in Kenilworth for many years; and was previously employed as a pasteurizer with Haagen Dazs Ice Cream in Woodbridge.

Proud of his German heritage, he enjoyed craft beer and beer festivals and worked with a local craft brewery. He also enjoyed attending concerts, particularly those of his favorite band, Savatage; and as an avid fan of the New York Yankees fan, he attended several of their World Series games.

He was predeceased by his father, Edward W. Hynes, in 2015.

Surviving are his mother, Virginia Hynes, of Woodbridge; sister, Virginia Crane, of Farmingdale; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services were private under the direction of Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street, Woodbridge.
