Edna Meehan passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2022 after courageous battle with cancer.  She was 84 years old.

Born in Jersey City, she resided in the Colonia section of Woodbridge Township for most of her life.

Mrs. Meehan was employed as a clerk with Rahway Savings Bank for many years before retiring in 2001.

She was a communicant of Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Port Reading and was a member of the Woodbridge Senior Citizens Club. Edna loved bingo, enjoyed her trips to Atlantic City and traveling especially Disney World. Well known for her sense of humor and quick wit.

Edna was the youngest of eleven children predeceased by her mother and father Bertram and Helen (Foohey) Peters and daughter-in-law, Peggy Meehan.

She is survived by her children, Helen Reguinga and her husband, Jose, Barbara Plucinski, John Meehan and his wife, Bernadette, and Brian Meehan; sisters, Cathy Bach and Patricia Walker; grandchildren, Douglas Harris, Meghan Smith, Patricia, Zachery, Atticus, and Aiden  Meehan, Daniel and Alexandria Reguinga, and great grandchildren, Hallie and Paisley Harris.

Funeral services will take place on Friday, March 11, 2022 at 8:45 a.m. from Costello-Greiner Funeral Home. A Mass of Resurrection will follow at 9:30 a.m. at Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Port Reading. Entombment will be in Saint Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia. Visitation for family and friends will be on Thursday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers contributions to Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital (stjude.org) in Mrs. Meehan's memory would be greatly appreciated by her family.
