Edna A. Ely passed away on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. She was 91 years old.

Born in Peckville, PA, she resided in the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township for many years as well as in El Paso, TX.

Mrs. Ely was a longtime member of the First Presbyterian Church of Avenel, belonged to Order of the Eastern Star, Mount Zion Lodge 116 and the El Paso Historical Society. She also enjoyed playing cards, mahjong and watching college basketball.

She was predeceased by her husband, Howard, in 2014; daughter, Leslie Yuhasz, in 2016; grandson, Christopher Yuhasz, in 2016; and brother, Leonard Cook.

Surviving are her daughter, Holly Ely-Calantoni, and her husband, Vincent, of Avenel; two brothers, Ronald and Walter Cook; and two step granddaughters, Ivy and Emily Calantoni.

Visitation for family and friends will be on Thursday evening, April 5, 2018 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Costello-Koyen Funeral, 399 Avenel Street, Avenel. There will be a memorial service on Friday, April 6, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Avenel, 621 East Woodbridge Avenue, Avenel, NJ 07001.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to the First Presbyterian Church of Avenel, 621 East Woodbridge Avenue, Avenel, NJ in Edna's memory would be greatly appreciated by her family.
