Edmund F. Salter, Jr. passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2019 at his home in New York City. He was 83 years old.

Born in Bluefield, Nicaragua, he has resided in New York City since 1949.

Mr. Salter was a United States Army Veteran.

Mr. Salter was employed as a courier with Federal Express for many years.

He was predeceased by his son, Edmund F. Salter III, in 2014.

Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Olga Leiva Salter; daughter, Olga Papa and her husband, Ron, of Mountain Top, PA; son, Mark Salter, of New York City; daughter in law, Cynthia Salter, of Woodbridge; and grandchildren, Edmund Salter IV, William R. Salter, Cassidy Salter, Kimberly Papa and Kristina Dunn and her husband, Joel.

Funeral services will take place on Friday, November 22, 2019 at 10:45 a.m. at Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street at Barron Avenue, Woodbridge. Interment will follow in Saint James Cemetery, Woodbridge. Visitation for family and friends will be on Friday morning beginning at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
