Edith E. Ryan of Rahway peacefully passed away on Friday, February 3, 2023 at J.F.K. Medical Center in Edison.  She was 75 years old.

Born in Jersey City, NJ; She resided in Carteret, Iselin, and Monroe before moving to Rahway a year ago.

Mrs. Ryan Was a Licensed Practical Nurse with NJ Institute for the Disabled and The New Jersey Veterans Home at Menlo Park in Edison before her retirement.

She was predeceased by her husband Walter F. Ryan; her Father Robert Mullins her Mother Virginia Markey; and a sister Barbara Mullins.

Surviving are her sons Walter S. Ryan and his wife Laura, Kenneth J. Ryan and his wife Talia, and Patrick J. Ryan and his wife Angela; her siblings Diane Mullins, Carmine Farese, James Farese, Christopher Farese, and Lisa Turrubiate; six grandchildren Nicholas, Virginia, Isabella, Morgan, Freddie Rae, and Dylan.

Edith was a loving grandmother, an excellent baker and an avid poker player.  Edith loved spending time with her grandchildren and especially enjoyed mentoring her granddaughter Virginia in her nursing studies. Edith enjoyed reading horror and was learning water color landscape painting.

A Prayer service will take place Saturday, February 11, 2023 at 12:45 p.m. the visiting hours will from 11:00 AM until 12:45 PM at Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street at Barron Avenue, Woodbridge.
