Dorothy Chigos of the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township passed away on Sunday, March 14, 2021 at Roosevelt Care Center in Old Bridge. She was 95 years old.

Born in Newport, PA, she resided in Woodbridge and Avenel for most of her life.

Mrs. Chigos was a communicant of Saint Andrew Catholic Church in Avenel.

She was employed as a seamstress with Lumared Pocketbook Factory in Woodbridge for 35 years before retiring in 1985.

Mrs. Chigos was predeceased by her husband, John Chigos, in 1977; parents, John and Freda Zevsatski Ziemski; sisters, Delores Piet, Geraldine Kryston, Freda Pawlukewicz and Sylvia Gembarski; and brothers, Henry Ziemski and Lawrence Ziemski .

She is survived by her daughter, Mary Titz and her husband, George, of Avenel; granddaughters, Sharon McPherson of Jamesburg and Carolyn Stanton and her husband, Thomas, of Woodbridge; and great-grandchildren, Melissa McPherson and Christopher McPherson.

A graveside funeral service will take place on Friday, March 19, 2021 at 11:30 a.m. at Saint Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia under the direction of Costello-Koyen Funeral Home, Avenel.
