Dorothy P. Washburn passed away on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne, FL. She was 71 years old.

Born in New York City, she resided in Brooklyn before moving to Melbourne 10 years ago.

Miss Washburn was employed as a computer room operator with the New York Stock Exchange for 25 years before retiring in 2008; and was a member of Ascension Catholic Church in Melbourne.

She was predeceased by her parents, Carrie and George Edward Washburn, Sr.; and a brother, George Edward Washburn, Jr.

Surviving are her sister, Florence Mele, of Bel Air, MD; brother, Ralph Grimaldi, of Melbourne, FL; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will take place on Saturday February 17, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street at Barron Avenue, Woodbridge. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Iselin. Visitation will be on Friday from 2:00 until 4:00 and 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
