Dorothy Allebach passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Saturday, August 24, 2013 at Haven Hospice at JFK Medical Center in Edison. She was 89 years old. Born in Haddonfield, she resided there before moving to the Colonia section of Woodbridge Township in 1954. Mrs. Allebach was a graduate of Centenary College in Hackensack and was employed as office manager with State Farm Insurance Company in Woodbridge for several years. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Avenel and former president of the Colonia Women's Club. Surviving are her husband of 68 years, Wilmer Allebach; a daughter, Mary Lee Montgomery, of Hopelawn; a son, Dean Allebach, of Jeffersonville, PA; a sister, Barbara Kintzing, of West Deptford; five grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. A Memorial service will take place on Saturday, September 14, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Avenel, 621 East Woodbridge Avenue, Avenel under the direction of Costello-Koyen Funeral Home, Avenel.
