Doris A. Nunamacher of the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at home. She was 82 years old.

Born in Jersey City; She resided in Avenel since 1970.

Mrs. Nunamacher was employed in the Quality Control Department at Innovative Folding Carton Co. in South Plainfield before retiring.

Doris loved the Game Show Network and watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune.

She was predeceased by her husband Frank Nunamacher who passed away in 1989; her parents William Bode and Marie Wrede; three Sisters June Anderson, Mathilda Cooper, and Kathleen Bode.

Surviving are her children Margaret Soehl and her husband Ernest of Layton, NJ, Karri Steinmacher and her husband Anton of Avenel, and Frank Nunamacher and his wife Amy of Northampton, PA; a brother William Bode of Florida, sister Janet Grabowski of Freehold and Marie Bode of North Carolina; ten grandchildren Kristin Oldenburg, Ernest Soehl, Laura Soehl, Vicki Champignon, Steven Steinmacher, Nicole Cougle, Colin Grandstaff, Justin Nunamacher, Cora Nunamacher, and Elsie Nunamacher; six great-grandchildren Ernest, Jack, Gavin, Emma, Carter, and Nicolas.

A Funeral service will take place Friday evening 7:45 pm at Costello-Koyen Funeral Home, 399 Avenel Street, Avenel.

The Committal service will take place Saturday 10:30 a.m. at Woodbridge Memorial Gardens, Woodbridge.

Visiting hours will be Friday 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
