Dorian Charles passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2023 at her home in the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township. She was 74 years old.

Born in Greenwich on June 27, 1949 to the late Patricia and Harry Herbst, she has resided in Avenel since 1990.

Mrs. Charles was employed as office manager with Star Micronics in Piscataway prior to her retirement in 2003.

She was an avid reader, writer and animal activist.

Surviving are her husband of 35 years, Henry Charles; and brother, Richard Herbst, of Hillsborough.

A memorial service will be celebrated on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street, Woodbridge.
