Donald Walz of Woodbridge passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2013 at home. He was 80 years old. Born in Perth Amboy; He resided in Woodbridge most of his life. Mr. Walz served in the United States Army as a Medic during the Korean War. He was a member and past Commander of The Woodbridge V.F.W. Post #4410. He was predeceased by his parents Matthew and May Davis Walz; a sister Jean Donato; 3 brothers Harold, Raymond, and Norman Walz. He is survived by his wife Helen Tsichlis Walz; 3 sons Michael Walz of Old Bridge, Anthony Walz and his wife Jeanne of Stafford Township, NJ, and Eric Walz and his wife Tiffany of Asbury Park, NJ; 2 grandchildren Zachary Walz and Jared Walz. A funeral service will take place Monday, April 15, 2013 4:00 p.m. at Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green St. at Barron Ave. Woodbridge.
