Dominick Valenzano, Sr. passed away on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. He was 78 years old.

Born in Jersey City on October 28, 1946 to the late Helen and Alfonse Valenzano, he has resided in the Sewaren section of Woodbridge Township since 1973.

Mr. Valenzano was a graduate of Lincoln Technical Institute and was employed by Trinitas Regional Medical Center for 33 years before retiring as Supervisor of Facilities Management in 2011. He was also employed part time in a similar capacity with the Benedictine Sisters, Saint Walburga Monastery in Elizabeth for many years.

He was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Caramel Catholic Church in Woodbridge; and a United States Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his brother, Michael Valenzano.

Surviving are his loving wife of 52 years, Margaret Kirschner Valenzano; sons, Dominick Valenzano, Jr. and his wife, Tracy, of North Brunswick and Thomas Valenzano and his wife, Carrie, of Freehold Township; sisters, Mildred Rakoski of Waretown, Marietta Schaffner of Toms River and AnnMarie Blash of Avenel; and faithful granddogs .

Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects on Wednesday, May 7, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street, Woodbridge. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Woodbridge. Entombment will follow at Saint Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia.

In lieu of flowers contributions to the Disabled American Veterans (dav.org) or Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital (stjude.org) in Mr. Valenzano's honor would be greatly appreciated by his family.
