Diane Cooper-Tharp passed away on Wednesday, December 24, 2014. She was 68 years old. Born in Staten Island, NY, she resided in the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township for 31 years. Diane was an amazing, loving, caring wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Her family was the world to her. Her favorite things were her gardening and Her pets. To sum it all up that was her life she adored. She was predeceased by her parents, George and Doris Kilberg Volpi; a sister, Carol Nardone; and a brother, Charles Burns. Surviving are her husband, Ronald Tharp; a sister, Lillian Lichtenberger; a brother, George Volpi II; six children, Lisa, Sandra, Richard, George, Hope and Patrick; three grandchildren, Kevin, Richie and Michael; and two great grandchildren. Funeral services will take place on Sunday, December, 28, 2014 at 7:30 p.m. at the Costello-Greiner Funeral Home (costello-greiner.com), 44 Green Street at Barron Avenue in Woodbridge. Cremation will be private. Visiting hours will be on Sunday from 4:00 until 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
