It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Derek Sebastian Pierre on November 29, 2024, at the age of 48. Derek was born on January 22, 1976 in Red Bank, N.J., to Vivian Scarlett and Derek Pierre.

Derek met the love of his life and beloved wife, Christine Faraca of 13 years. Derek was known for his high optimism, incredible laughter, and love and support for his family. Derek had many interests and hobbies.  Derek always had lady luck on his side and enjoyed traveling to Atlantic City with his wife.  Detailing cars was a passion of Derek's along with the sports teams: the Brooklyn Nets, Las Vegas Raiders, and NY Yankees.  Derek always dressed to impress.

Preceded in joining the Lord: Mother, Vivian Scarlett.

Survived by: wife Christine Faraca, father Derek Pierre, daughter Kayla Issaic, brothers Derek Wright and Conrad Witter, sisters Cynthia Rodney, and Tunisha Pierre, nephews Miguel Wedderburn, Jamar Wedderburn, and Conrad Witter Jr., nieces Sylvia Mason and Conisha Witter, great nephew D'Anthony Askew, great nieces Ma'Lain Mason, Egypt Porter, and Xyla Sky Witter-Massey, brother-in-laws Shawn Rodney, Michael Faraca, and Joseph Lombardi, sister-in-laws Nicole Faraca and Samantha Hart, father-in-law Michael Faraca, mother-in-law Dottie Faraca and beloved dog Yoshi.

A Funeral service will take place on Friday, December 6, 2024 at 6:30 p.m. at Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street, Woodbridge. Cremation will be private. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects on Friday beginning at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
