Dennis G. Reed passed away on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. He was 69 years old.

Born in Perth Amboy, he resided in Woodbridge before moving to Clark 27 years ago.

Mr. Reed was employed as a Dispatcher with Amerada Hess Corporation in Woodbridge for 11 years, and as a driver for the Woodbridge Township Board of Education before retiring in 2010.

He was a communicant of Saint Agnes Catholic Church in Clark and attended the First Presbyterian Church of Woodbridge.

Mr. Reed belonged to Don Bosco Council, Knights of Columbus, Port Reading and was a longtime official and umpire through the New Jersey State Federation of Umpires.

He was predeceased by his parents, Eleanor Sincovits Reed, in 2007 and George J. Reed in 2011.

Surviving are his wife of 34 years, Linda (Lynn) Reed (nee Kruck); son, Michael D. Reed, of Clark; sister, Nancy Teal and her husband, John, of Woodbridge; nieces and nephews, Candice Crowley and Donna Wetstein, John Teal III and Bryan Teal; great nieces and nephews, Alexandria, Bryan A., Ava, Savannah, Brittany, Sophia, John IV, Liliana, Gianna, Ashley and Nicholas.

Visitation for family and friends will be on Monday, July 5, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Costello-Greiner Funeral Home (costello-greiner.com), 44 Green Street, Woodbridge. There will be a funeral service on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the First Presbyterian Church of Woodbridge Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers contributions to American Heart Association in Mr. Reed's memory would be greatly appreciated by his family.
