Dennis W. Chasey of Avenel passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at JFK Medical Center in Edison. He was 78 years old.

Mr. Chasey was born in Long Beach, California and resided in the Woodbridge area most of his life.

He was employed as a Carpentry Supervisor with The New Jersey Department of Corrections at The Adult Diagnostic Treatment Center in Avenel for many years retiring in 2002.

He was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church in Carteret.

Dennis loved to bake and play the guitar.

Mr. Chasey was predeceased by his parents Harry and Mary Ciuffreda Chasey; his brother Victor Chasey and his sister Lorraine Kovacs.

He is survived by his niece Shellie Pollock and her husband Scott of Sewaren, his grand-niece Alyssa Marie Pollock and many cousins.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2023, 11:30 a.m. at Costello-Greiner Funeral Home ( www.costello-greiner.com ) 44 Green Street at Barron Avenue, Woodbridge, NJ 07095. Interment will be in St. Gertrude's Cemetery, Colonia.

Visiting hour will begin on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
