Deborah Krametz passed away on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick surrounded by her beloved family.  She was 68 years old.

Born in Yonkers, NY, she resided in Elizabeth, NJ before moving to Woodbridge over 30 years ago.

Mrs. Krametz was employed in administration with the New Jersey Department of Corrections at East Jersey State Prison for 25 years before retiring in 2014. In retirement she would help out at Roxxi Hair Studio in Scotch Plains.

She was a communicant of Saint James Catholic Church in Woodbridge and a member of the Altar-Rosary Society at the church.

She was predeceased by her husband, Donald Krametz, in 2009; and parents, Michael and Antoinette Gallo Marino.

She is survived by her sons, Robert Contreras and his wife, Kathy, of Barnegat and Michael Contreras of Hunt Valley, MD; brother, Michael Marino, of Mechanicville, NY; partner, Vincent Melchione; and step-son, Donald Krametz, of Easton, PA; and grandchildren Kaeden, Sebastian, Julian and Alexandra.

Debbie was a constant source of stability and dedication, leaving a mark on so many people's lives. Debbie will forever be remembered by all those she leaves behind as a fiery source of wit and love; a true pillar of strength, a mother, sister, grandmother and friend to all. May she find eternal tranquility and peace.

Visitation for family and friends will be on Monday, April 3, 2023 from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street at Barron Avenue, Woodbridge.

Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at 8:30 a.m. from the funeral home. A Mass of Resurrection will follow at 9:00 a.m. at Saint James Catholic Church, Woodbridge. Entombment will be in Saint Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia.
