Deana Mercedes DeMone passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston.  She was 50 years old.

Born in New Brunswick, she has resided in Woodbridge for the past 43 years.

Mrs. DeMone's outgoing and sunny personality led her to working in jobs where she could help people. She was most recently employed as Activities Director with Sunrise Brighton Gardens in Mountainside; and previously worked as a Fulfillment Specialist with Amazon.com.

She is survived by the loves of her life, Matthew DeMone, her husband of 12 years and her son, Anthony R. Genna, of Woodbridge. She will also be greatly missed by her parents, Frank and Connie Ferreri Genna, of Woodbridge; aunts, Peg Ferreri, Nancy Ferreri, Eileen Ferreri, Nancy T. and Janet; uncle, Bill Ferreri; mother in law, Madeline DeMone; sisters in law, Melissa Holden and her husband, Chris, and Michelle Smith and her husband, Dan; brother in law, Mark DeMone and his wife, Vickie; and many cousins and friends.

Funeral Services will take place on Friday, March 3, 2023 at 5:00 p.m. at Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street at Barron Avenue in Woodbridge. Cremation will be private. Visitation for family and friends will be on Friday beginning at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
