David R. Winans passed away on Friday September 18, 2020 at his home in the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township. He was 68 years old.

Born in Elizabeth, he was raised in Colonia and lived in Maryland for a time before moving back to Woodbridge Township.

He was a graduate of American University, where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree, and later graduated from Rutgers University with Masters of Arts degree; and worked as a writer for the National Education Association in Washington D.C. for many years

Mr. Winans was a communicant of St Cecelia's Catholic Church in Iselin.

He was predeceased by his parents, David R. Winans in 1999 and Esther D. Deffcey Winans in 2019.

Mr. Winans is survived by many cousins.
