David Joseph Simmonds passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at his home in the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township. He was 75 years old.

Born in Staten Island, NY on September 20, 1947 to the late Margaret and Joseph Simmonds, he has resided in Avenel for the past 45 years.

Mr. Simmonds was employed as a computer analyst with AT&T and Lucent Technologies for 48 years prior to his retirement.

He was a communicant of Saint Andrew Catholic Church in Avenel; served in the United States Army National Guard; and belonged to the Woodbridge Corvette Club and the Bell Tel Retirees Club.

In addition to his parents Mr. Simmonds was predeceased by his wives, Linda in 2003 and Diane in 1997.

David is survived by his sister, Theresa from Staten Island, his son, Todd from Oregon and his son, Douglas from Michigan.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Andrew's Church, 244 Avenel St., Avenel, NJ 07001 on April 22, 2023 at 11:00 am.
