David Brian Pohida 54, a beloved brother, uncle and friend passed away at home in Colonia, NJ on Wednesday November 27, 2024 surrounded by family after his courageous battle with cancer. Born in Elizabeth, NJ on September 4, 1970 and was the beloved son of the late Gerald and Louise Pohida.
David is survived by his cherished siblings; brothers, Gerald Pohida, Glenn Pohida and his wife, Barbara, Wayne Pohida and his wife, Florence, and Michael Pohida; sisters Karen Strauss and her husband, Steven, and Cynthia Temple; as well as 23 nieces and nephews and 20 great nieces and nephews and whose caring nature touched the lives of everyone he met.
David had a big heart and touched the lives of so many and his generosity knew no bounds. His kindness and passion were unmatched and whose caring nature touched the lives of everyone he met.
David was known for his tireless work ethic, most would say a workaholic. Despite his hard-working nature, he knew the importance of family and generosity but work was his main passion and that is what made him happy.
They say there is a reason, they say that time will heal but neither time or reason will change the way we feel. David's presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his memory will forever remain in our hearts.
