David P. Brown, "Big Dave" passed away at his home on Thursday, April 6, 2023.  He was 58 years old.

David loved his family and the lifetime friendships he maintained more than anything.  He was always the life of the party and always brought laughter and smiles wherever he was.

Born in Jersey City, he resided in Woodbridge for most of his life.

David was a graduate of Woodbridge High School, class of 1982; and was employed at Costco for over 30 years.

He was a member of American Legion Post #87, Woodbridge; and the Sons of the American Legion.

His father, Thomas Brown, passed away in 2018.

Surviving are his mother, Barbara Cooke Brown, of Whiting; sister, Jean Matt and her husband, Michael, of Howell; brothers, Ken Brown and his fiancé, Laurette Miller, of Hillsboro, Tommy Brown of Whiting and Paul Brown of Whiting; nieces and nephews, Keri Piazza and her husband, Michael, Michael Matt, Christian Matt and his wife, Allie, Brandon Matt, Jordan Rowe and her husband, Brandon, Dylan Brown and his wife, Anyily, Becky Brown; and great nieces and great nephews, Riley and Jacob, Elyna and Lucas. And many more loved cousins, family members and an unending list of friends.

A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at 8:30 p.m. at Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street, Woodbridge.  Cremation will be private. Visitation for family and friends will be on Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Contributions to American Legion Post #87, 314 Berry Street, Woodbridge, NJ 07095 in David's memory would be greatly appreciated by his family.
