Obituary

David Bothwell of Woodbridge, went home to be with His Lord on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at NJ Veterans Home in Menlo Park, at 90 years of age.

Born in Port Reading and a lifelong resident of Woodbridge, Mr. Bothwell was a United States Army veteran serving in the occupation of Germany during the Korean War.

He was employed as a Computer programmer/Data Processor with Phelps Dodge in Elizabeth for his whole working life, retiring in 1991.

His favorite song is the well-known children's hymn "Jesus loves me this I know … yes, Jesus loves me". His favorite Bible verse is John 20:31. "But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God: and that believing ye might have life through His name."

He was predeceased by his first wife Joan Albert Bothwell in 1973 and his second wife Carol Walling Bothwell in 1992 and three brothers Alexander, William and Andrew Bothwell.

He is survived by two daughters Grace So and her husband David of Mississauga, Canada, Ruth Klassen and her husband Theodore of Aberdeen, Idaho; three sons David Bothwell and his wife Evelyn of Oldsmar, Florida, Philip and Peter Bothwell of Woodbridge; a sister Agnes Dickson of Tunkhannock, PA; a brother Gilford Bothwell of California; 12 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.

Funeral will take place on Saturday, October 1, 2016 9:30 a.m. at Costello-Greiner Funeral Home (www.Costello-greiner.com) 44 Green Street at Barron Avenue, Woodbridge. Interment will be in Cloverleaf memorial park, Woodbridge.

Visiting hours will be Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
